Bumrah not No.1 anymore, Pakistan spinner in top 10

The three Tests, at Mirpur, Rawalpindi, at Pune, resulted in significant overhaul in the ICC Test rankings.

Test batters

Despite India’s defeat at Pune, Yashasvi Jaiswal made 30 and 77 to rise one place to regain the third place, displacing Harry Brook. With 903 points, Joe Root maintained a 90-point lead at the top over Kane Williamson.

Saud Shakeel’s 134 at Rawalpindi, on the other hand, helped him leap 20 places to reach seventh spot. Rachin Ravindra, too, gained eight spots, and is now 10th on the charts. Among South Africans, Kyle Verreynne’s hundred helped him jump from 46th to 32nd.

The Indian stars, on the other hand, suffered massive drops: Rishabh Pant slipped from sixth to 11th, Virat Kohli from eighth to 14th, and Rohit Sharma from 15th to 24th. Jaiswal is the only Indian in the top ten now.

Ravindra Jadeja, too, got only three wickets at Pune, and slid from sixth to eighth.
