Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill swapped places as per the latest ICC ODI rankings, while Virat Kohli stayed at fourth place.
Rohit Sharma’s blitzes during the ODI series in Sri Lanka was not enough for India to evade defeat in the series – a first since 1997 – but they helped him displace Shubman Gill at the second spot on the ICC ODI rankings. Both Rohit (765) and Gill (763) are some distance behind the top-ranked Babar Azam (824).
Despite dropping to 746, Virat Kohli retained fourth place, though he now has to share the rank with Harry Tector. Among Sri Lankans, Pathum Nissanka (708) rose one spot to eighth place, the highest rank from his nation.
