Another state-run franchise T20 league in India
The Kerala Cricket League (KCL) is the latest addition to the list of mushrooming state-run franchise leagues in India. In the mould of several tournaments like the UPT20, Bengal Pro T20, Delhi Premier League, and Karnataka’s Maharaja Trophy, the KCL will be organised by the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA).
Kerala Cricket League 2024 schedule and participating teams
Six teams will be running for the title, with each playing the other five teams twice during the league stage, set to be played in a round-robin format from September 2. The top four sides will be playing semi-finals followed by the final on September 18.
Alleppey Ripples, Aries Kollam Sailors, Calicut Globstars, Kochi Blue Tigers, Thrissur Titans and Trivandrum Royals are the sides for the inaugural edition.
