Hampshire have signed Warwickshire all-rounder Keith Barker on a two-year contract.
Barker will depart at the end of the 2018 season having spent a decade at Edgbaston, with over 450 wickets across all formats for the Bears.
The left-arm seamer, who began his county career after a stint as a professional footballer, was instrumental in Warwickshire’s 2012 County Championship-winning side, taking 56 wickets.

Barker formed a strong new-ball partnership that season with Chris Wright, who has signed for Leicestershire.
Barker’s strong lower-order batting also proved to be integral for Warwickshire, with over 3,500 runs from 113 first-class appearances.

Warwickshire sport director Ashley Giles said: “With Chris also departing to join Leicestershire, it’s the end of an era and we’re thrilled that both players are able to move on having helped secure our return to Division One.”
Reflecting on his career at Edgbaston, Barker said: “I have had 10 fantastic years at the club and enjoyed every minute. I will always be proud of the success we have had during that time and am delighted for us to finish on a high.”
