Keaton Jennings top-scored with 141 on the opening day of England Lions’ match against Cricket Australia XI in Hobart.
Jennings – who earlier this week was recalled to England’s Test squad for next month’s tour of Sri Lanka – was one of three Lions centurions, with Dom Sibley and Dan Lawrence also hitting tons.
Lancashire’s Jennings came in to bat after Zak Crawley departed for 2 in the third over of the day, and added 184 for the second wicket with Sibley.
Sibley fell for 103 off the bowling of Jack Edwards, with Sam Northeast following shortly after, having failed to trouble the scorers. Jennings and Essex’s Lawrence put on 157 together before the former was dismissed by Brendan Doggett, who finished the day with figures of 3-41.

Lawrence went to his century from 125 balls in the penultimate over of the day and remains not out with England on 367-4.
“It’s always a great feeling to raise your bat while wearing England colours and it was really enjoyable batting with Dom and Dan today,” Jennings said.

“We played the Australian attack well to form two excellent partnerships and it was good to see those guys continuing their recent form with the bat.
“While I’d have liked to have batted out the day, we’ve put ourselves in a strong position to set a strong first-innings total and put pressure on the opposition.”
