Hampshire captain James Vince struck 171 off 126 balls as Hampshire racked up a 348-9 in their Royal London One-Day Cup semi-final against Yorkshire.
Visiting skipper Steven Patterson, whose team are without a number of top players through England duty, asked Hampshire to bat first having won the toss at the Ageas Bowl.
Vince’s partnership with Sam Northeast (58 off 56) took the side from 76-2 in the 13th over to 218-3 in the 34th, as Hampshire got themselves on top in the cup tie, though some determined bowling and late wicket-taking from Yorkshire kept the White Rose in the game.
The teams were playing for a place in the Lord’s final against Kent on June 30.
