After demonstrating his horse-riding skills in an earlier post, India allrounder Ravindra Jadeja took to Twitter to show what he can do with a sword in his hand.
Jadeja is from the Rajput clan, whose descendants belonged to the ruling warrior class in ancient northern India, and he is known for his liking for the bladed weapon – he twirls his bat like a sword in what has become his trademark celebration on reaching any milestone on the field.
On Sunday, he pulled an actual sword out of its sheath and brandished it in the backyard of his Jamnagar residence. “A sword may lose its shine,” Jadeja wrote alongside the clip, “but would never disobey its master.”

The post drew a witty response from former England captain Michael Vaughan, who chose to completely ignore Jadeja’s skills and instead made an observation on his lawn. “Your grass needs a mow, Rockstar,” Vaughan commented, to which Jadeja replied, “yes, but I don’t know how to cut it.”
Recently, Australia opener David Warner shared a throwback video of him swinging his bat like a sword for a commercial he shot last year in his Sunrisers Hyderabad kit. Warner also made it a point to ask fans to compare his skills with those of Jadeja.
