Irani Cup 2024 schedule
The Irani Cup is played between the champions of the previous season's Ranji Trophy and the Rest of India side, selected by the BCCI. This year Mumbai, winners of the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy, will pit against the Rest of India, in Irani Cup 2024 between October 1 and 5. The one-off match will be held at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. The game will start at 9:30 am local time.
This will be India's second first-class competition this season after India A won the recently-concluded Duleep Trophy.
Irani Cup 2024 squads
Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead the Rest of India, with Abhimanyu Easwaran acting as his deputy. Mumbai have announced a strong squad under captain Ajinkya Rahane. In a major blow for Mumbai, Musheer Khan will miss the match owing to a neck fracture sustained in a road accident.
