India women have named a 16-player squad to take on South Africa in a one-off Test match next month, as the Proteas women embark on a three-format tour.
Squads for the ODI and T20I legs of the tour have also been announced, with three matches scheduled for the two white-ball series. The tour will begin with the ODIs on June 16, with all matches at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Uma Chetry is the only player in any of the three squads who is uncapped at international level. She is included as a back-up wicketkeeper for Richa Ghosh, having been in two India squads before, against Bangladesh and in the Asian Games last year.
The one-off Test match will begin on June 28 at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennau. India haven't lost a Test match since 2006, winning their last two matches against Australia and England. South Africa lost their most recent Test against Australia earlier this year.
The three-match T20I series will being on July 5, with the entire series once again being played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Jemimah Rodrigues' and Pooja Vastrakar's selection is subject to fitness. They have both been named in all three squads.
