The first ever ICC U19 Women’s World Cup is taking place in South Africa in January 2023 – below is the full Under 19 India squad, updated with the latest team news and injury updates.

The squad is captained by Shafali Verma who is already one of the most exciting players in the world. The teenager first played for the full India side as a 15-year-old in a T20I against South Africa in 2019.

In total, Verma has represented the India Women team on 69 occasions overall and is a powerful top-order batter. She will undoubtedly be one of the main players to watch at the tournament.

Shweta Sehrawat has been selected as vice-captain whilst Richa Ghosh, who has already represented the full international side on dozens of occasions, and Hrishita Basu are the two wicketkeepers that have made the squad. Three standby players have been named: Shikha, Najla CMC and Yashashree.

The tournament begins on January 14 and will run until January 29. In total, 16 teams are taking part.
