When does the 2024 Women's Asia Cup start?
The ninth edition of the tournament begins with the United Arab Emirates clashing against Nepal on July 19.
A total of 15 matches will be played between eight teams, who are divided equally into two groups. The 12-group stage games will be followed by the semi-finals on July 26 and the final on July 28.
Women's Asia Cup 2024: Where will India's matches be played?
Defending Champions India will play their campaign opener against arch-rivals Pakistan on the opening day. They will next play Group A rivals UAE on July 21 and Nepal on July 23.
Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium will host all the matches.
How many times have India won the Women's Asia Cup?
The inaugural Women’s Asia Cup was held in 2004 in Sri Lanka with the first four seasons played in the ODI format. India are the most successful team in the competition, having made it to the final on eight occasions and winning seven of them.
Their sole loss came against Bangladesh in 2018.
