India lost their final 'Bowl' competition league game against Oman at the Hong Kong Sixes, to end their campaign with five defeats from five games.
India had started their campaign with a loss against Pakistan in their first Pool C game on November 1. They followed it up with a narrow one-run defeat against the UAE on November 2 to bow out of the title race.
The format of the tournament is such that the four bottom-placed teams from each group would combine to play in the 'Bowl' competition, with each team facing each other in a round-robin format before the top two teams played the 'Bowl' final.
That meant India played two more games on November 2, against England and New Zealand, and lost both. Ravi Bopara hit six sixes in an over in the match against England, while the New Zealand match ended in comprehensive defeat by 44 runs as well.

Against Oman, India won the toss and chose to bat first. Openers Robin Uthappa (52 off 13) and Bharat Chipli (32 off 11) got them off to a solid start, making it to 70 in 3.2 overs, before Chipli was run out. They eventually made it to 119-3 in their six overs.
In reply, Oman took the first two overs, bowled by Stuart Binny and Shahbaz Nadeem, for 25 runs each. In the third over, Chipli came on to bowl only for Vinayak Shukla to hit him for three fours and three sixes in the over.
Shukla retired after going past his half-century in the following over, before Hassnain Shah came in and hit three consecutive sixes off Kedar Jadhav to make it a total of 32 runs off the over. The mere formalities of a victory were completed when Asif Khan hit two fours off the first two balls of the fifth over.
The result means India's campaign has ended with five losses in five games – a thoroughly unenviable record.
