India A vs South Africa A: Squads
There have been a couple of changes to the squads for the second match. For India A, Kuldeep Yadav has returned from his time with the T20I squad in Australia to take part ahead of the Test series against South Africa.
South Africa A will be without the services of Rubin Hermann, who has been called up to South Africa's ODI squad in Pakistan as a replacement for the injured Dewald Brevis.

Senokwane hits career-best first-class score for South Africa A
Hermann’s fellow opener, Lesego Senokwane, bettered his previous highest first-class score (70) for South Africa A, made against New Zealand A in September 2025. He is currently on 74* off 157 with the tourists needing another 230 runs for a win.
India get their first breakthrough
Prasidh Krishna dismissed Jordan Hermann for a 123-ball 91, breaking the 156-run opening stand.
SA A mounting a strong response
At Lunch, the visitors are 139-0, needing another 278 runs in two sessions as India A chase 10 wickets. Both openers have now crossed fifty.

Their first thought will be to draw, but the pitch has played quite nicely through the middle overs as the game has worn on.

That's the end of Harsh Dubey for a superb 84 – he nicks off to first slip as the new ball comes on.
It's his highest first-class score, but he will regret missing out on a century.

It's starting to look ominous for the visitors now, especially with Rishabh Pant potentially yet to return.

India A have stretched their lead to 177 runs, as Harsh Dubey hits the last ball of the first session over the leg side for four.
The most significant news though, is still Rishabh Pant retiring hurt after being struck on the wrist. It is still unclear whether he will return to bat.

The nightwatch loses patience, and tries to hit Prenelan Subrayen over the top – but only holes out to Temba Bavuma at mid-on.

After that spell where he saw the physio, he has now been hit for a third time – this time, trying to defend, the ball gets him in the midriff.
The umpires have called drinks, with India A 108-4 in 33.5 overs.

He looks in pain, and is now getting his wrist strapped up after skewing the ball off it, into his thigh pad.
He was also hit in the helmet attempting a reverse ramp a couple of overs ago.

He attempts a reverse off Harsh Dubey, but gets a thin edge through to Pant, and has to depart for 134.
