The squads have been announced for the third season of the International League T20 tournament (ILT20 2025) in UAE – here’s the full list of new signings, squad updates and retained players for each side.

Which teams are playing in ILT20 2025?

Like the previous two seasons, six teams will be gunning for the title in season three. They are Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, Desert Vipers, Dubai Capitals, Gulf Giants, MI Emirates and Sharjah Warriorz. The Emirates became champions last year after beating Dubai Capitals in the final by 45 runs, thanks to an unbeaten 57 off 27 balls by captain Nicholas Pooran.

When will the ILT20 Season 3 start?

The tournament is set to take place from January 11, 2025, until February 9, 2025, with an Eliminator and Qualifier-style play-off following a round-robin group stage.

Who are the new signings for the upcoming ILT20 season?

Jason Roy (Sharjah Warriorz), Ibrahim Zadran (Gulf Giants), Roston Chase (Abu Dhabi Knight Riders), Matthew Wade (Sharjah Warriorz), Romario Shepherd (MI Emirates), Fakhar Zaman (Desert Vipers), Shai Hope (Dubai Capitals) and (Lockie Ferguson (Desert Vipers) will make their tournament debuts in the upcoming edition.

Retentions: Aditya Shetty, Ali Khan, Alishan Sharafu, Andre Russell, Andries Ghous, Charith Asalanka, David Willey, Joe Clarke, Laurie Evans, Michael Pepper and Sunil Narine.

Desert Vipers

New signings: Dan Lawrence, David Payne, Fakhar Zaman, Lockie Ferguson and Max Holden.

Dubai Capitals

New signings: Adam Rossington, Brandon McMullen, Garuka Sanketh, Gulbadin Naib, Jeffrey Vandersay, Joe Burns, Joe Weatherley, Najibullah Zadran, Obed McCoy, Scott Kuggeleijn, Sharafuddin Ashraf and Shai Hope.

Retentions: Dasun Shanaka, David Warner, Dushmantha Chameera, Haider Ali, Raja Akif, Rovman Powell, Sam Billings, Sikandar Raza, Zahir Khan, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Oliver Stone.

Gulf Giants

New signings: Adam Lyth, Dominic Drakes, Daniel Worrall, Ibrahim Zadran, Mark Adair, Tom Curran, Tymal Mills and Wahidullah Zadran.
