India and Australia topped their respective Super Six groups with three wins from as many games and qualified for the semis, where both played out thrilling contests. While the Under-19 Indian side defeated South Africa by two wickets, chasing down 245 with seven balls to spare, the Australians took the run chase of 180 Pakistan to the last over, winning with one wicket in hand.
This will be the fifth successive final appearance for India. The team has qualified and played in every summit clash since 2016, winning twice, in 2018 and 2022. Australia, on the other hand, have qualified for their first final in three editions. Their last final appearance ended in a defeat to India in 2018.
India are the most successful side in the history of the tournament, winning the U19 World Cup five times. Australia have won the trophy on three occasions, the last of which came in 2010.
India are led by Uday Saharan this year, with Hugh Weibgen leading the Australia Under-19 side.
The match will be played from 10 am local time (8 am GMT/1.30 pm India time).
