The second edition of the Cricket World Cup League 2 will see eight teams playing six matches each in a 24 tri-series format spanning across a total of 144 ODIs.

Unlike last time (2019-2023), which saw seven teams participating in the tournament, eight teams will pit against each other this season.

The first tri-series kickstarts on February 15 and will be played until February 25 between hosts Nepal, Namibia and Netherlands. Mulpani Cricket Ground in Kathmandu, Nepal, will host these encounters. Apart from these three sides, Oman, Scotland, United Arab Emirates, USA and Canada are the other participating teams slated to play in multiple tri-series across the 2023-2027 cycle.

As per the rules, the top four teams in the tournament will advance to the Cricket World Cup Qualifier, while the remaining teams will be required to take part in the Cricket World Cup Qualifier Play-off, where the top four sides from the ICC World Cup Challenge League, ICC’s third-tier 50-over tournament, will also fight for a World Cup spot.
