The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the women’s Future Tours Programme (FTP) for the 2025-2029 cycle. Here’s the full schedule for each team.
Around 400 matches will be played across three formats during the second women’s FTP, which will run between May 2025 and April 2029. The cycle will see the fourth edition of the ICC Women's Championship, some tri-series and some major global tournaments.
Each format has seen a significant rise in the number of matches scheduled to be played compared to 2022-2025. The upcoming cycle will also be the inaugural edition of the six-side Champions Trophy in 2027. The other global tournaments are the Women’s Cricket World Cup in India in 2025, the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup in the UK and the 2028 Women’s T20 World Cup, the venue for which is yet to be named.
WPL, Hundred, WBBL to get separate windows
The Women’s Premier League (WPL) will be played in January-February in 2026, while the Hundred (August) and WBBL (November) have been given dedicated windows in the current women’s FTP. To avoid a clash of fixtures, Cricket Australia have pushed back the women’s summer fixtures to February-March from January.
There’s a specific window for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics as well set to be held in July of that year.
Ten days ago, New Zealand shocked the cricketing world by winning the Women's T20 World Cup.

West Indies to play Test cricket after a hiatus of 20 years
15 Tests have been scheduled in the 2025-29 cycle, with West Indies set to play their first match in the format in 20 years, having last featured in 2003-04 against Pakistan. They will play a Test against Australia in March 2026, against England in April 2027 and another against South Africa in December 2028. They have played only 12 women’s Tests overall. The FTP finishes with the 2029 ODI World Cup.
