Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper, opened up about making mistakes on his previous tours to Australia, but also spoke about realising and correcting them over the years, of his own accord.
“I didn’t have a good understanding of where to draw the line and stuff like that…,” Kohli told Fox Sports.
“Those are things that I, I wouldn’t say I regret, but definitely I look at them as mistakes. But mistakes that were important for me to commit so I can learn from them.”
“I was never a perfect mould of typical, old school cricketer,” he added.
“I always just wanted to find my own way and I guess those things were a part of that journey.”
Kohli is currently leading India in the first of four Tests against Australia at the Adelaide Oval, where his team have worked themselves into a strong position.
