Jofra Archer has hit back at Tino Best after the former West Indies bowler criticised him and questioned England’s decision to select him over Stuart Broad for the Southampton Test.
England went into the first Test with three of the five quicks in their squad, with Broad and Chris Woakes missing out. Best, however, was of the opinion that Archer should’ve sat out in Broad’s favour, and not the other way round.

Broad had admitted ahead of the third day’s of play that he was left ‘angry’ and ‘frustrated’ after being axed from the XI. Broad’s admission prompted Best to put up a tweet siding with him. “Honestly why Archer playing before Broad chaaaaa fair is fair tho [sic], cause u [sic] have Wood bowling 90+ and he’s bowling the same pace as Broad, I have no problem with Broad being pissed.”
Best’s tweet didn’t go down well with Archer, who hit back on Twitter, pointedly asking: “With all this knowledge, how are you not a coach yet?”

But Best had the last say, claiming Archer hasn’t been at his best since the Ashes. “Don’t address me personally Young [sic] man, the fact remains your bowling toothpaste and u [sic] haven’t bowled Quickly since ASHES, now go sleep and get some rest for WI to beat ya ball in the second innings bye Jorfa [sic].”
