Mumbai Indians captain Harmanpreet Kaur took an outstanding one-handed catch off the bowling of Hayley Matthews in Mumbai’s group stage Women’s Premier League clash against UP Warriorz.
Table toppers Mumbai stuttered with the bat, with no partnership worth more than 30 runs. Issy Wong’s brisk 32 from No. 7 helped Mumbai post a 127 – a below-par but defendable total.
Harmanpreet led from the front taking a sensational diving catch off the bowling of Matthews. Matthews’ off-break, delivered from around the wicket, spun away from the left-handed Devika Vaidya who could only edge the ball to the right of Harmanpreet at slip.
Harmanpreet plucked the ball out of the air to complete the catch and leave the Warriorz 1-1 in the second over of the chase.
