DRS giving people the ‘ump’
The umpires in Adelaide contributed mixed performances; there were some great decisions and some absolute stinkers. That’s why the Decision Review System exists. As lbw decisions were given one way or another, several tweeters questioned the system. Our favourite was this beauty from Australia’s Cameron White.

Flying Lyon
While the DRS chat gave us the belligerent side of Twitter, Nathan Lyon gave us the creative aspect. When Lyon got the wicket of Moeen Ali in the first innings, he did so with an absolutely cracking caught and bowled. Some of the images of it are just stunning.

The 2017/18 Ashes has been dominated by the bad blood between both teams. At times, it’s made the rift between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift look rather tame.
But Trevor Bayliss has a solution: Turn off the stump mics so no one can hear the nasty comments. He appears to have abandoned all hope that the players could just stop being horrid to one-another.
