Punjab batter Anmolpreet Singh has smashed the third-fastest List A century, taking just 35 balls to reach the landmark during the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024 match against Arunachal Pradesh.
Chasing a paltry target, Punjab lost captain Abhishek Sharma for 10 early in the innings. The dismissal brought No.3 batter Anmolpreet to the crease. He didn’t waste time and hit 11 fours and eight sixes to bring up a record 35-ball hundred. After reaching the milestone, Anmolpreet hit one more six and a four to end with 115* off 45 balls.
Riding on his blazing ton, Punjab gunned down 164 in just 12.5 overs with nine wickets remaining. Opener Prabhsimran Singh also chipped in with an unbeaten 25-ball 35.

Full list of fastest centuries in men's List A cricket
The record for the fastest men's List A hundred is held by promising Australia youngster Jake Fraser-McGurk. Playing only his 16th List A game last year, Fraser-McGurk reached the landmark in only 29 balls. That was also his maiden hundred at the domestic level. He is trailed by AB de Villiers, who ranks third for his 31-ball hundred against West Indies in 2014-15
Anmolpreet's ton against Arunachal Pradesh is the quickest by an Indian and the third-quickest overall, in terms of balls faced. Yusuf Pathan's 40-ball ton from 2010 is the second-fastest by an Indian player. Gujarat wicketkeeper-batter Urvil Patel, who recently made the headlines for smashing the second-fastest T20 century, also features on the elusive list. His 41-ball century in last year's Vijay Hazare Trophy makes him the third quickest among Indians.
