England Women will expand their squad for the T20 double-header that sees them play both South Africa and New Zealand on the same day.
The T20 tri-series begins on Wednesday with South Africa taking on England and New Zealand at Taunton, with England only naming a 14-strong squad for their opener.
But coach Mark Robinson has said the back-to-back games scheduled for Saturday offers the opportunity to add a further two players to the squad.
The 14-strong group for the first game is almost the same as the squad for the ODI series, with left-arm swing bowler Tash Farrant replacing batter Lauren Winfield.
Winfield will return for the second and third T20s on Saturday along with Hampshire left-arm quick Katie George.
Robinson said: “In selecting this squad, we’ve had the opportunity to consider our England Women’s Senior Academy fixtures against South Africa and New Zealand and it’s heartening to see so much competition for places.

“We saw some excellent individual performances in those games – Sophia Dunkley hit 91 against New Zealand, Emma Lamb and Freya Davies have bowled well and Bryony Smith made an outstanding 92 yesterday against South Africa.
“There’s a growing number of players beginning to make cases for selection which is a reflection of the depth that’s starting to emerge and that’s exciting.”
