After the England team was forced to self-isolate following Covid-19 cases in the camp after the series against Sri Lanka, the ECB named an all-new 18-member squad for the series against Pakistan, with as many as nine uncapped players in the fray. Ben Stokes, who had been injured during the IPL, returns, and will lead the new squad.
Pakistan, led by Babar Azam, announced their squads for the upcoming England and West Indies series. Uncapped players Saud Shakeel and Salman Ali Agha are part of the squad. Shakeel missed the South Africa series due to injury.
The three ODIs between England and Pakistan will be followed by a two-match T20I series. The first ODI will be held on July 8, in Cardiff, and will be followed by the second and third ODI on July 10 and 13. The venues for the last two games are Lord’s and Edgbaston respectively.
