England announced their squads for the multi-format tour of South Africa on Friday (November 8), with one prominent dropping and a couple of new faces.
Heather Knight will lead England in all three formats, in their first bilateral series following the conclusion of the T20 World Cup earlier this year.
The T20I squad for the tour sees just two changes from the squad for that tournament, which ended with England crashing out of the group stage following a loss to West Indies. All-rounder Alice Capsey has been left out, with Paige Scholfield, who made her international debut against Ireland earlier this year, included.

Danielle Gibson also misses out, as she recovers from an operation on her left knee. She had suffered a meniscus injury during the T20 World Cup. Lauren Filer takes her place. Filer has also been named in the ODI and Test squads, making her just one of eleven players to make it to all three squads. Capsey (only ODIs), Scholfield (only T20Is), Linsey Smith (only T20Is) and Tammy Beaumont (ODIs & Test) are the ones who have not done so.
There are two uncapped players in the Test squad as well. Freya Kemp has received a call-up for the first time, while Maia Bouchier could also make her debut after being named in the squad but not playing against India in December 2023.
The three-match T20I series will run from November 24-30, before the ODIs take place from December 4-11. The one-off Test match between the sides will be from December 15-18. The T20I squad will travel to South Africa by November 16, while those in the ODI & Test squads will arrive by November 27.
