The pace duo of James Anderson and Mark Wood have both been rested following their efforts in the first Test; Anderson collected match figures of 3-104 while Wood’s two wickets in England’s four-wicket defeat came at the cost of 110 runs.
Sussex seamer Robinson has received his maiden Test call-up having been in England’s reserves list for the first Test. Bowling for Team Buttler in England’s intrasquad warm-up match, he returned figures of 2-7 from nine overs during Team Stokes’ first innings.
Earlier, it was announced that Joe Denly had been dropped, as regular Test skipper Joe Root returned to the squad following the birth of his second child.
