After the series opener was a washout earlier this week without a ball being bowled, robbing both teams of some vital T20 World Cup preparations, rain can spoil the party yet again in the second match.

The home side haven’t played in the format recently, having last played a T20I series in December last year against the West Indies, in which they went down by 3-2. Pakistan, meanwhile, are entering the series high on confidence after beating Ireland 2-1 as part of their UK tour.

All eyes will be on Jofra Archer, who has made it to England’s 2024 T20 World Cup squad after a long injury layoff. Archer hasn’t played international cricket since March last year due to a stress fracture.
