Last year’s finish: 6th in the North Group

Tournament history: Durham have never lifted the trophy and had mixed success in recent years. In 2016 they finished runners-up to Northants; the following year they finished bottom of their group; in 2018 they reached the quarter-finals, and last year they failed to advance to the knockout stages.

Key player: Scott Steel. Steel made his county bow in 2019 and formed a strong opening partnership with overseas recruit D’Arcy Short, with the pair topping Durham’s T20 run-charts. Throw in some nifty off-spin – he’s taken the new ball, too – and you’ve got yourself a more than handy white-ball cricketer.
