At Sultanpur, Haryana Under-23s opener Yashvardhan Dalal smashed 428 not out in 465 balls with 46 fours and 12 sixes against the Mumbai Under-19s in a Col CK Nayudu 2024-25 match. He added 410 for the opening stand with Arsh Ranga (151). Riding on Dalal’s monster innings, Haryana were able to declare on 742-8 as Atharva Bhosale toiled for 59 overs to return 5-145.

Dalal joined the list of Indians to make a quadruple-hundred in organised cricket – a list dominated by teenagers as well as cricketers from Bombay (now Mumbai). It includes Drona Desai’s 498 for St Xavier’s School, Loyola at Ahmedabad earlier this season.

515, Dadabhoy Havewala. Bombay Baroda and Central India Railways against St Xavier’s College, Bombay 1933-34. Set in the Times Shield, this is one of only three quintuple-hundreds in senior cricket, and the earliest entry on this list. The other two are by Charles Eady and Brian Lara.

401 not out, Nari Contractor. St Xavier’s College, Mumbai against National Medical College, Bombay 1953-54. Contractor played in this Bombay Inter-Collegiate Tournament a season after becoming the first Indian to score a hundred innings in each innings on his first-class debut. He later led India.
