Abhishek Nayar and Ryan ten Doeschate are set to travel to Sri Lanka as part of Gautam Gambhir's support staff, claimed a Cricbuzz report. The report also added that India have retained fielding coach T Dilip.

India will play three ODIs and as many T20Is in Sri Lanka from July 27. The series will also mark Gambhir's maiden assignment as the team's head coach.

Harbhajan Singh is startled by Yuzvendra Chahal, Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson's omission from India’s tour of Sri Lanka. While Samson is only a part of the T20Is despite scoring a hundred in his last ODI against South Africa, Chahal, and Abhishek, who scored a record-breaking century against Zimbabwe, have been ignored entirely.

ICC planning keeping aside part of Afghanistan’s revenue for women’s cricket – report

Earlier this year, a group of women’s cricketers from Afghanistan in exile wrote a letter to the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) chair, Greg Barclay, to set up a refugee team.

According to an ESPNCricinfo report, multiple boards, such as Cricket Australia and New Zealand Cricket, are mulling putting aside a sum for women’s cricket in Afghanistan in ICC’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Colombo.

No hybrid model, Pakistan will host Champions Trophy 2025: PCB chief

Pakistan Cricket Board chief Mohsin Naqvi has dismissed the idea of the country hosting the Champions Trophy in a 'hybrid model' amid reports that India will not travel to the country for the global event as part of their long-standing stance to not tour the country due to strained bilateral relations.

According to a report in Pakistan's Express News, "PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi has made it clear to the ICC that Pakistan will host the 2025 Champions Trophy, and there will be no hybrid model. It’s ICC’s responsibility to bring India to Pakistan for the event, and not PCB’s task."

Carlson, Labuschagne star in Glamorgan’s huge win over Somerset

A 64-ball 135 from Glamorgan captain Kiran Carlson, followed by a five-wicket haul from Marnus Labuschagne, helped them beat Somerset by 120 runs in the South Group T20 Blast game. The win went in vain as they finished sixth on the South Group points table, while Somerset have already qualified for the quarterfinals and will play Northamptonshire in the knockout game.

In another match, Birmingham Bears beat Leicestershire by 72 runs, courtesy of a magnificent 103 by Moeen Ali, helping them to top the North Group. They will play Gloucestershire in the quarter-final
