The inaugural edition of the Cayman Islands T10 league will start from the third week of August: here’s everything you need to know about the squads and major signings for the tournament.
When will the Cayman Islands T10 league start?
The Max60 Caribbean League is the latest addition to the list of several global franchise leagues. The competition will be played in the T-10 format in the Cayman Islands.
The tournament will start on August 18. Five teams will play 25 matches across eight days, with the final slated on August 25.
Which team will participate in Cayman Islands T10 league?
Abu Dhabi T10 champions New York Strikers are one of the participating teams. They will play the curtain-raiser against the Caribbean Giants. Apart from the two, Boca Raton Trailblazers, Grand Cayman Stingrays and Miami Lions will be gunning for the trophy.
Each team has named one icon player, with David Warner in Boca Raton Trailblazer’s squad being the most notable inclusion. Warner recently retired from international cricket after the T20 World Cup in June.
Sikandar Raza (Caribbean Giants), Alex Hales (Grand Cayman Stingrays), Dwayne Bravo (Miami Lions) and Thisara Perera (New York Strikers) are the rest of the marquee signings.
There are six other categories – A1, A2, B1, C, C1, OPT – of players picked in each team.
