Madhya Pradesh vs Hyderabad: Day 3 round-up

Hyderabad had ended day two in the driver's seat, having scored 439-5. They extended their lead on day three, eventually declaring at 560-6. M Abhirath made 211, while three other batters scored half-centuries.

Madhya Pradesh were blown away in their second innings. In under 50 overs they were bowled out for 124 as Aniketh Reddy took 5-46. Tilak Varma also chipped in with a wicket, and Hyderabad secured a win by an innings and 229 runs to qualify for the next round.

Final score: Madhya Pradesh 207 (Shubham Khushwah 48, Aniketh Reddy 3-55) & 124 (Shubham Khushwah 44, Aniketh Reddy 5-46) LOST to Hyderabad 560-6d (Abhirath M 211, Yuvraj Nema 2-143) by an innings and 229 runs.

TNCA XI vs Mumbai: Day 3 round-up

Mumbai were in trouble at the end of day two, trailing by 238 runs with just two wickets in hand. They were soon bowled out for 156 to hand TNCA XI a 223-run lead. TNCA XI then batted the majority of the day to score 286, despite an opening partnership of 142 between SR Athish (57) and S Lokeshwar (73).

With a massive target of 510 in the fourth innings, Mumbai scored 6-0 in two overs by the end of day three.

Score at stumps, day two: TNCA XI 379 (Boopathi Vaishna Kumar 82, Himanshu Singh 5-81) & 286 (S Lokeshwar 73, Tanush Kotian 5-91) vs Mumbai 156 (Divyansh Saxena 70, R Sai Kishore 5-36) & 6-0 (Musheer Khan 5*, S Ajith Ram 0-3). Mumbai need 504 runs to win.

 

 

Gujarat vs TNCA President's XI: Day 3 round-up

Gujarat had been 162 runs ahead, for the loss of two wickets, by the end of day two. Firmly on top, they could be forgiven for thinking a big lead was on the cards for them. But TNCA President's XI captain M Siddharth had other ideas.

The left-arm spinner ran through Gujarat's lineup, picking up an incredible 8-21 in 16 overs unchanged to bowl them out for just 58. With a target of 219 on the board, TNCA President's XI got there in 38.4 overs, led by C Andre Siddarth's unbeaten 115 off 94 balls.   

Final score: Gujarat 371 (Jaymeet Patel 144, M Siddharth 6-76) & 58 (Aditya Patel 18, M Siddharth 8-21) LOST to TNCA President's XI 211 (Mohammed Ali S 56, Siddharth Desai 6-61) & 220-5 (C Andre Siddarth 115*, Siddharth Desai 4-87) by 5 wickets.

Baroda vs Chhattisgarh: Day 3 round-up

Chhattisgarh trailed by 113 runs at the end of day two. They managed to bat almost the whole day, as Anuj Tiwari (114) and Gagandeep Singh (77*) helped take them to 427, registering a lead of exactly 100 runs.

Baroda began batting again in the evening session, scoring 9-0 in 2 overs before bad light forced an early end to proceedings.

Score at stumps, day two: Baroda 327 (Ninad Rathwa 105, Gagandeep Singh 6-84) & 9-0 (Jyotsnil Singh 8*, Shashank Tiwari 0-0) vs Chhattisgarh 427 (Anuj Tiwari 114, Raj Limbani 3-61). Baroda trail by 91 runs.
