Geoffrey Boycott is recovering at home after quadruple heart bypass surgery, his family have advised.
The former England batsman and Test Match Special commentator, 77, spent 10 days in hospital in Leeds after having the operation on June 27.

While he will not commentate on England’s first two Tests against India, Boycott is hoping to return to the commentary box for the third match of the series at Trent Bridge, which starts on August 18.
“The surgeon says the operation was a success,” confirmed the Yorkshire legend’s daughter, Emma.
With Emma’s help, Boycott posted several messages on Twitter on Tuesday, which included a charming note to his TMS colleague Jonathan Agnew, who jokingly expressed sympathy for the nurse.
He says to tell you he loves you and great of you to come see him and be his first visitor. Really appreciated. https://t.co/IHaosDbnvA
