Ravi Bopara has extended his contract at Essex until the end of the 2019 season, the club’s official website have announced.
Bopara, who last played for England in 2015, first represented the county side in 2002, and was a part of the County Championship-winning team of 2017.
“I’m glad to have signed a new one-year deal with Essex County Cricket Club,” said Bopara.

“I’m excited for the upcoming season, which will be my 18th year with the club and at 33, I still have plenty of years left.”
