Sussex are fresh from a winning start to their Bob Willis Trophy campaign after beating Hampshire by 94 runs within three days.
The likes of Harry Podmore, new-signing Tim Groenewald and Sam Billings, fresh from a series of impressive performances for England, all come into the Kent squad for the game at Canterbury while Kuhn misses out as he attends the birth of his first child.
Sussex were dealt a late blow to their side with seamer Ollie Robinson, who took eight wickets in his first outing of the campaign. He was rendered unavailable for selection after being drafted into England’s bio-secure bubble at Ageas Bowl ahead of the second Test against Pakistan.
