Ben Stokes hit 93 off 47 balls in his latest outing for New Zealand club Canterbury.
The England all-rounder’s six fours and seven sixes helped his team to matchwinning 217-run total in their T20 Super Smash match against Otago in Christchurch.
Stokes came in in the third over at No.4 and fell in the final over just shy of a century, before taking 1-17 as Canterbury won the game by 134 runs.
It is Stokes’s first meaningful score since joining up with the New Zealand side.
He is provisionally included in England’s squad for the ODI and T20 series in Australia subject to any legal proceedings related to September’s incident in Bristol.
