The Emerging Asia Cup is back after a four-year hiatus, set to be hosted in Sri Lanka next month – Here’s the Bangladesh squad for the EAC 2023, including player news and injury updates.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board have announced their ‘A’ squad who that will compete in the competition. It features several players who have been awarded full international honours for Bangladesh, including captain Mohammad Saif Hassan, who has six Test caps. Vice-captain, Zakir Hasan also has Test appearances under his belt, he scored a century against India at Chattogram last year.
Bangladesh have been drawn in group B of the competition, alongside Afghanistan, Oman and the UAE. The top two teams after the round-robin group stage will advance to the knock-out rounds. The competitions will be held from July 12-21, in a fifty-over format, however fixtures details have not yet been confirmed.
There is no injury news coming out of the Bangladesh squad as of yet, with all 15 members expected to be fully fit. However, four reserve players will also travel to Sri Lanka in case one of the main squad is ruled out.
