Australia have become the top-ranked team in the men’s Test and T20I rankings, after the annual update released by the ICC on Friday, May 1, while England have retained their No.1 ODI rank.
India, at 114 points were displaced from their No.1 spot for the first time since October 2016, and were pushed to third place by Australia and New Zealand, who now occupy the first and second position, with 116 and 115 points respectively. India are still the top-ranked team in the World Test Championship, with Australia and New Zealand occupying the second and third spots, respectively.
In the T20I rankings, Pakistan were toppled from their No.1 spot for the first time since January 2018, making way for Australia who made their maiden climb atop the table, since the rankings were released in 2011.

England consolidated their No.1 spot in the ODI rankings, widening the margin between the second-ranked Indian team by eight points, and now stand at 127 points. England are currently ranked fourth in Tests, while they stay second in T20Is after Australia. India occupy the third spot.

The annual rankings eliminate results from the 2016/17 season. In the latest update, all matches that have been played since May 2019, have been rated at 100 per cent, whereas those matches in the two years prior to that have been rated at 50 per cent.
