The T20I series between Australia and Pakistan women kicked off today with a dominant victory for the Southern Stars.

Megan Schutt took 5-15 with the ball off her four overs as Pakistan were all out for 118, while Ellyse Perry scored a 57* off 40 balls as Australia chased their target in just 13.4 overs. Perry also took 2-3 off two overs of bowling, removing both Pakistani opening batters.

Pakistan were 57-5 at one point, and needed 30 and 24 from Omaima Sohail and Ayesha Naseem at No. 6 and 7 to get them to a respectable score.

The next fixture will take place on Thursday 26 January with the final of the trio of games taking place Sunday 29 January.
