England will take on Australia in a three-match T20I series just before the T20 World Cup. Here is the full list of fixtures, containing match timings and venues for AUS v ENG 2022 T20I series.
England, fresh from a series victory against Pakistan, will travel to Australia as they step up preparations for the T20 World Cup. Jos Buttler did not feature against Pakistan but is expected to play some part in the series. There is uncertainty over Liam Livingstone’s fitness too, although the all-rounder has made the trip to Australia.
Elsewhere, this series provides another opportunity to players to seal their spots in England’s first-choice eleven. Alex Hales and Phil Salt, both part of the T20 World Cup squad, are vying for a spot in the side alongside Buttler at the top of the order. Harry Brook, meanwhile, will be looking to continue his stellar form. In the bowling department, Chris Woakes and Mark Wood will be itching to get overs under their belt ahead of the T20 World Cup after the pair both missed the entirety of the English summer through injury.
Australia, the T20 World Cup holders and hosts for this year’s tournament, begin the series after having completed a 2-o victory over West Indies.
The series starts on October 9 at Perth. The caravan then moves to Canberra, with the second and third T20Is slated to be held at the Manuka Oval on October 12 and 14, respectively.
