The 15th edition of the Asia Cup, to be played in the T20 format, will commence on August 27 — here’s the full schedule, match list, venues and start timings for the 2022 tournament.

The competition was first scheduled to be held in Pakistan but was later shifted to Sri Lanka. The 2022 Asia Cup was then moved out from the island to the United Arab Emirates due to the political tension in the country. Pakistan will now host the 2023 edition.

A total of six teams will take part in the main stage event, which will be played in two venues, Dubai and Sharjah. India and Pakistan have been placed in Group A along with a Qualifier, while Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be in Group B.

Prior to the event, there will be a 2022 Asia Cup Qualifier, featuring Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore and the UAE, to determine the sixth side in the competition. The winner of the Qualifier will be placed alongside India and Pakistan in Group A.

Here’s all you need to know about the Asia Cup Qualifiers.

Each side will play the other team in their group once, from where the top two will advance to the Super Four. There will be six matches in the second round. The teams with the most points will then advance to the final, which will be played on September 11.
