The third edition of the Andhra Premier League starts on June 30. Here’s all you need to know about the APL 2024 squads – the full team lists of the six participating teams in the tournament.
Andhra Premier League 2024: When does the tournament start?
A T20 league run by the Andhra Cricket Association, the Andhra Premier League 2024 will kickstart its second season on June 30. Six teams will be participating in the tournament which will run for 13 days.
APL 2024: What's the format?
A total of 19 matches will be played in the competition, 15 of which will be league games where each team will play each other once, while the other four will be play-off games. The play-offs will have a similar structure to the IPL, where there will be an Eliminator and two Qualifiers with the winners of the two Qualifiers contesting in the final on July 13.
The entire tournament will be hosted at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Vishakapatnam. Andhra cricketers like KS Bharat, Shaik Rasheed, and Ricky Bhui will be seen in action. Nitish Kumar Reddy fetched 16.5 lakh INR in the auction this season, the highest in the tournament's history. He was picked for India's upcoming tour to Zimbabwe but missed out owing to an injury.
