The sixth edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League will start from November 23. The entire tournament will be played at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. There will be eight teams this time – Northern Warriors, Deccan Gladiators, Team Abu Dhabi, The Chennai Braves, Bengal Tigers, Delhi Bulls, New York Strikers, and Morrisville Samp Army.
The teams will play in round-robin format. These will be followed by, on December 2, the Qualifier 1, the Eliminator, and the Qualifier 2, and on December 3, the third-place match and the final. All matches will be played at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The BCCI does not allow active Indian cricketers to play in the overseas league – though they make exceptions for First-class and List A matches. To play in the T10 league, thus, the Indians had to announce retirement from Indian cricket. There are five Indians this time – all of them retired Test cricketers.
