Scott Borthwick hasn’t given up hope of earning a recall to the England side – this time as a batsman who bowls.
Borthwick made a Test debut in the final match of England’s disastrous 2013/14 Ashes tour, playing as the frontline spinner and batting at No.8.
Since then his leg-spin has become more of a second string as he developed into a specialist No.3 batsman for Durham, before a move south to Surrey for the 2017 season.
