Sri Lanka are coming off a famous win at The Oval. On familiar turf at Galle, they will take field as firm favourites against New Zealand, who have not played Test cricket since March and any international cricket sine the T20 World Cup in June. Their first ever Test match against Afghanistan, at Greater NOIDA, had to be abandoned.

Sri Lanka are predictably clear favourites for this one, with odds of 1.52 compared to 2.5 for New Zealand, according to Stake.

Back Dimuth Karunaratne to finish as Sri Lanka’s top batter. Stake offers odds of 4.7 on him, followed by Angelo Mathews (5.2) and Pathum Nissanka (5.4). For New Zealand, Kane Williamson (3.85) tops the list, followed by Daryl Mitchell (5.1) and Devon Conway (5.3).

With odds of 2.35, Prabath Jayasuriya is the most-favoured bowler from either side as per Stake. For Sri Lanka, Ramesh Mendis (4.05) and Asitha Fernando (4.9) are next on the list. For New Zealand, Ajaz Patel (2.6), Matt Henry (4.2), and Tim Southee (4.45) make up the top three.
