Pakistan and South Africa Women are set to face off in a three-match T20I series in Multan from September 16-20. Here are Wisden's picks of the betting odds for the first match.

Pakistan v South Africa 1st T20I: Who will win?

This is Pakistan's first match in over a month, since they lost to eventual winners Sri Lanka in a tense Asia Cup semi-final. Prior to that tournament, they were in action in England for a white-ball series in May, where they were whitewashed 5-0 across formats, with one washout.

South Africa had a better time of things in their last outing, against India in India. They drew their T20I series 1-1 in July, with one no-result.

The Proteas are clear favourites for this one, with odds of 1.47 compared to 2.65 for Pakistan, according to Stake. 

Pakistan v South Africa 1st T20I: Which side will hit the most fours?

South Africa can call upon the likes of Laura Wolvaardt, Marizanne Kapp and Suné Luus in the batting department, in what is a strong side. Pakistan cannot be counted out in this respect, as Muneeba Ali and Gull Feroza, as well as captain Fatima Sana are all capable of finding the boundary with regularity.

The Proteas are favourites to hit more boundaries, though, at 1.52 to Pakistan's 2.70, according to Stake. 

Pakistan v South Africa 1st T20I: Which side will have the best bowler?

South Africa are blessed with some solid pacers in particular – Ayabonga Khaka, Annerie Dercksen and Marizanne Kapp are a few. Pakistan's spinners though, impressed in the Asia Cup and will be looking to build on some good form.

Watch out for left-armer Sadia Iqbal, and leggies Syeda Aroob Shah and Tuba Hassan. Stake favours South Africa here, pricing them at 1.65. But at 2.10, betting on Pakistan could be a profitable choice.
