Following their T20I series victory in Mumbai, India will face West Indies in a three-match ODI series which will be the tourists' final assignment of the ICC Women's Championship. Here are Wisden's picks of the best odds to back for the game.

India v West Indies 1st ODI: Who will win?

West Indies have yet to qualify directly for next year's Women's World Cup, and will need to secure at least two wins in this ODI series to do so by finishing in the top six of the Championship. India on the other hand, automatically qualify for the tournament as hosts but also currently sit in third in the standings.

Despite their mixed record in ODIs this year, India are heavily favoured to win the game. They lost 3-0 to Australia in their last ODI assignment but that came after their 3-0 win over South Africa earlier in the year. West Indies were also beaten 3-0 in an ODI series against Sri Lanka earlier this year. Overall, it's best to back India for this one, with a 1.2 return on every pound betted with Batery.

India v West Indies 1st ODI: Which team will score the most fours?

Both sides have batters in good form and capable of clearing the boundary. Smriti Mandhana broke the record for the most centuries scored in women's ODIs in a calendar year earlier this month, having scored a century on four occasions this year. India will also have the likes of Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur in their lineup.

However, the West Indies' XI will boast both Hayley Matthews and Deandra Dottin, as well as potentially power-hitter Qiana Joseph. While India are heavily favoured in this category as well, it might not be so clear cut as the odds say, with Batery offering a 3.65 return on every pound betted on scoring the most fours.

India v West Indies 1st ODI: Will the match go to a super over?

Only four women's ODIs have ever been decided by a Super Over, two of those involving West Indies. On both of those occasions, which were both against South Africa, West Indies emerged victorious. India have only ever been involved in a Super Over once in women's cricket, in a T20I against Australia in 2022. Batery are giving odds of 11.5 on the match being decided by a Super Over, with a 1.02 return on a normal time finish.
