Bangladesh Women will host Australia Women for a three-match T20I series for the first time ever this week. Here is all you need to know about the Bangladesh Women vs Australia Women series including fixtures, match timings and venues.

Australia won the preceding ODI series 3-0, following a scare in the first match where Bangladesh reduced them to 78-5. A century from Annabel Sutherland saw them up past 200 in that match, and they bowled Bangladesh out for 95. That set the tone of the ODI series for the hosts, who were bowled out for 97 in the second match and 89 in the third. Bangladesh women have never won a T20I against Australia and have only previously played them in T20 World Cups in the format.

Veteran batter Fargana Hope has been left out of the hosts’ squad for the series, one of three changes from the ODIs. Fargana returned scores of 0, 7 and 5 in the three ODIs, and has been replaced by Dilara Akter. Fariha Trisna and Shorifa Khatun have also been replaced, by Disha Biswas and Nishita Akter respectively.

All three T20Is of the series will be held in Dhaka at the Shere Bangla National Cricket stadium. The first game will take place on March 31 and the series will wrap up on April 4.

Jess Jonassen was not picked for either the ODI or T20I leg of the tour of Bangladesh for Australia. This is the first time Jonassen has not been selected for a series when fit since 2012. Uncapped Tayla Vlaeminck was called up to the squad after spending significant time out of the game with injuries.
