Watch: Finn Allen, who has been signed up by Royal Challengers Bangalore for the upcoming IPL, smashed his way to an 18-ball half-century for New Zealand on Thursday.

Playing in the third T20I against Bangladesh, Allen opened the batting in a shortened match and reached his maiden international fifty off just 18 balls. He was eventually dismissed for 71 off just 29 balls and was named Player of the Match as the Black Caps cruised to a 65-run win.

Allen’s performance will have been watched closely by RCB fans; the 21-year-old was signed up by the franchise earlier this month as a replacement for Australia’s Josh Philippe, who pulled out of the tournament.
