Stokes left out as England name T20 squad

by Wisden Staff 1 minute read

Ben Stokes has not been named in a 14-man squad for the upcoming T20s against Australia and India.

Stokes is not part of the official squad but will join the group as he continues his recovery from a hamstring tear, with England having previously stated they hoped he could return to action during the series.

Eoin Morgan’s team are set to play a one-off T20I against Australia followed by three versus India – the beginning of a tour that also takes in three ODIs and five Tests.

Durham paceman Mark Wood has been rested for the T20s while there are places for fellow seamers Jake Ball, Chris Jordan and both Curran brothers, Tom and Sam.
